Quick Start

Overview

  1. Ask a Question

  2. Create a Golden Query

  3. Repeat x10

  4. Approve and Reject Inbox Rules

1. Ask a Question

Start by asking any business question, simple or complex, in the "Deep Dive" chat flow. Ask anything like "What products drove the most revenue in Q2?" or "Which contracts are expiring soonest?". The AI will do it's best to generate a query to answer the question.

2. Create a Golden Query

There are three ways to create a Golden Queries from chat:

  1. If the query is already perfect, just click "Create Golden Query", give it a name, and save it. You can always go back and edit Golden Queries.

  1. If the query needs more work, click the "Edit" button to open up the Query Builder. Either edit the query directly, or via natural language with the help of AI by typing in the bottom text box. Once the query is all set, click "Execute" to test it and then click "Add Golden Query".

You can, of course, also iterate with the AI directly in chat to make changes to the query.

tip

The more descriptive the name of the Golden Query, the better. The AI uses the name of the Golden Query to find it later. You can also add "Associated Questions" to help the AI find your Golden Query. Check out the Associated Questions section of the Golden Query docs for more details.

3. Repeat!

Golden Queries are the building blocks of your AI's semantic model. Try to save 10 Golden Queries across business domains to hit the ground running!

4. Approve Inbox Rules

As you build Golden Queries, your Inbox will start to populate with suggestions for Column Descriptions, Metrics, Tags, Routing etc. Start approving and rejecting some of these rules to further customize your AI. You can see more details about the Rulebook here.

Next Steps

Once you have a Catalog of Golden Queries, start templating them to make them even more useful to stakeholders.

You will also be able to view the Catalog Map.
