Slack Notifications
Clarative can notify you about important compliance-related risk events by email and/or Slack. To receive Slack notifications, you’ll first need to connect Clarative to your Slack workspace. This can be done in just a few steps through Clarative's website.
Step 1: Connect Slack
You must be an admin to access this feature.
- Go to the Integrations page in Clarative.
- Click “Add Slack Integration.”
- Click “Continue” and approve the request to allow Clarative to send messages in Slack. You’ll be brought back to Clarative automatically.
At this point, Slack is connected — but we still need to give access to one or more channels.
Step 2: Choose Slack Channels
On the Integrations page, you can select one or more public channels available in your Slack workspace. This gives Clarative permission to publish notifications to those channels.
If you want to send notifications to a private Slack channel, open that channel in Slack and use the /invite
command.
Step 3: Set Up Notifications
- Go to the Clarative dashboard.
- Click the Profile icon in the lower left corner and then click Settings.
- Click Notification Center in the navigation bar.
From here, you can:
- Set a default minimum severity level to alert on, as well as vendor-specific minimum severity alerts.
- Configure digest frequency.
Only new risk events will trigger notifications. If you change a risk level manually, Clarative will assume you’re handling it and skip the alert.
